Development of education in Dubai

by Shane Clarke Customer Relationship Manager

In this fast growing world, many developing countries are in the race to the top. The academic system in UAE has changed over the years. In ancient times, education was very simple. There were no universities, schools, and teachers. The teacher was a person who was called Al-Mutawa who would teach only three subjects, namely reading, reciting the Holy Quran, and math. With changing times, the system has undergone a thorough change. Today, the Emirates are home to numerous universities, schools, teachers, institutes, and colleges. These institutes cover subjects like engineering, arts, sciences, law, business, architecture etc.  They also give an opportunity to students who want to pursue postgraduate studies.

The academic system today has qualified teachers and professors which teach different subjects like English, Arabic, history, geography, chemistry, biology, psychology etc.  The system of education in Dubai  is also supported by the government. The government funds the construction of modern schools, labs, universities and institutes to provide an appropriate environment for studying.  It also provides adequate funds for safe transportation of students. One can find buses with reasonable air conditioning and other services.

One of the great things about schooling in these institutes is the opportunity to meet students from a variety of countries and cultures and gain global awareness. Students of all age groups are imparted top quality education. A student is accepted in the first year of kindergarten if he or she completes four years of age before the 31st of December of the year in which they have been accepted. The nursery schools in Dubai train your kids to be responsible citizens of the world. In private schools whose academic year starts in the month of April, 31st of July is the date considered to calculate the completion of student age for the target grade.

Many schools have different terms for their students. Elementary school consists of students aged about 4 to 12 years, high school has students aged 11 to 17 years.  Imparting world class education is the goal of these institutions. The Emirates have a rock-solid education system that has resulted in a better literacy ratio. Education in Dubai has currently brought the overall literacy rate at 90 per cent of its population. The Emirates assigned 7.4 billion dirhams for the development of academics in the region.

Education plays a rudimentary role in our society. A society without education will be a victim of chaos and anarchy. We cannot even imagine a life without it. It is a determined element for the civilization of human society. Not only does it helps us develop healthy surroundings but it also generates an advance community. The nursery schools in Dubai play a key role in nurturing the root of society. These schools train children to be independent, well-mannered and responsible. These schools are equipped with devices that help to develop the overall character of your child. With the development of technology, online courses for students are also available.
