Detailed Exam Pattern of MAT 2019

MBA is the course that helps students to develop skills with respect to each level of business. The best students learn quite a bit from this degree in terms of knowledge, intelligence, labour, business skills, tactics, and smart interaction and communication etc. There are multiple types of MBA programs to choose from, including full-time, part-time and executive MBA programs. The MBA degree provides a good way for the industry to look at appraising the potential candidates about the relevant problems faced in companies before they can be hired. 


The MAT Exam Pattern of 2019 is directed by All India Management Association (AIMA). AIMA is the main directing body of this examination. The pattern of the examination is same for every year. The pattern of MAT examination is expected to remain unchanged for the February 2019. It is probably going to stay the same as the MAT examination which was held in December 2018. The MAT examination for February 2019 will be taken on 17th and 23rd February, both in online and offline mode separately. As per the structure and pattern of MAT 2019 examination, a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be given to the candidates to complete the examination. DESCRIPTION OF THE SECTIONS OF MAT EXAM 2019

  • Comprehension passages- In this, a passage will be given to the candidates and the students need to comprehend the passage and write the answers based on the passage. This section intends to study the reading and understanding abilities of the applicant.
  • Test of intelligence and logical reasoning - With an intention to evaluate the competitors' consistent thinking capacity, this segment manages the subjects like arrangement of  Data, Relations, Series and Sequences, coding and decoding, logical reasoning, sense of direction, input and output investigation.
  • Sufficiency and analysis of data- This area is to study the competitors' logical and basic reasoning. This segment brings questions dependent on subjects like coding and decoding, sense of direction, input and output investigation, blood relations.
  • Mathematical skills - This segment manages the inquiry dependent on Mathematics based on business, geometry and mathematics. The candidates should have a proper knowledge of the fundamental formulae and different ideas.
  • Global and Indian environment- this section basically deals with the current affairs and all the candidates should have an adequate knowledge. Questions are based on national and international current affairs for common awareness.

MAT EXAM PATTERN FOR 2019- MODE OF THE EXAMINATION

MAT is one of the best and famous management entrance exams for it is conducted both in offline and online methods. The applicants can appear for the examination both in offline and online methods. This implies that those candidates who are applying the examination in the offline mode or PBT mode (paper-based mode), should carry a pencil and a rubber for shading the right answers on the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) page. The quantity of spaces for the online mode of MAT examination relies upon the quantity of candidates giving the examination. The ones who are giving the examination on computer based method simply must know how to use the essential instruments and equipment, for example, mouse and the keyboard. Separate Sheets will be provided to the candidates for doing the rough work. 

MAT EXAM 2019 MARKING CRITERIAS

The MAT Exam Pattern is solely directed by All India Management Association (AIMA). According to the marking system of AIMA, each candidate will be given one mark for each correct answer. There is a scheme of negative marking (0.25 marks). The maximum scoring marks that a candidate can get is 200 and the total score is given out of 800.
