- The grant of design patent was completed by
notified in the Patent Journal.

objection arises, then the procedure of hearing has been held between the
applicant. Afterwards, the controller decides whether the file is accepted or not.
Approval of the design patent application
After completing
the filing procedure, the report can be examined by the controller of the
Indian Patent Office. After requesting the examination of the application, can
make an approval after 48 hours and publish the design patent
application in the journal. And the duration of the design patent is
about 14 years from the date of issuing of the patent; in addition to this, you
can also have an option to extend the protection of the patent.
For grants, design
patent claims are narrow, i.e. one claim only as compared to the
utility patent, which can make one or more claims; you can say that with no
claim analysis, the cost for design patent litigation is much
more effective. The cost to file the design patent is very least compared to
the other patent, which is about 5000 rupees and can vary according to the
prescribed under the official gazette.
