Dependency of Mobile Broadband on Long Term Evolution (LTE) Technology
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a new generation 4G wireless technology, which is developed with the help of 3G (Third Generation Technology). It provides an increased peak data rate for better service quality. It has a scalable bandwidth capacity with 100Mbps downstream and 30 Mbps upstream.
LTE is mainly based on TCP/IP to support mixed data, voice and messaging traffic for providing better quality of services and to achieve service level agreement with the customers. LTE uses MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) for higher signal at the receiver end along with OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). OFDM helps in providing higher coverage and better service with more bandwidth in those areas where there are more customers in the same region.
There is another technology available parallel to that LTE, that is WiMax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access). This also provides a better service but it has some drawbacks and the customers are moving to LTE for better availability of services.

With the gradual development in Smartphone technology Internet users have become more conscious about the type of services provided to them and availability of services at lower prices.
