DEMOCRATS TO TURN ARIZONA, GEORGIA AND TEXAS INTO BLUE STATES

Recognizing the demographics of Arizona, Georgia and Texas, demographics of these states, democrats feel that they can turn them into blue states. As the population ages and die off, younger people will no longer hold onto the prejudices of the past and will be more amendable to new alternatives, not their folk’s obsessions. Couple that with the influences of rapidly growing minority groups, there is ample opportunism that these states can be turned blue, especially since republicans have done a lot to reduce their voting strength thus antagonizing them and driving them into the camp of the democrats.

 

Arizona has a growing minority population that is estimated to form a majority population by 2015. The Mexican-American is the largest of this minority group with more than 25% of the total Arizona population. Other significant groups include Asians, Native Americans and Blacks. Most of these currently relate more strongly to the Democrat Party over the Republican Party. Unless the Republican Party drastically changes its policies, these groups will become permanently associated with the Democratic Party, just as blacks have.

 

Unlike Arizona, Georgia has a black population of more than 30%. The Latino population is about 9%. The white (non-Hispanic) is about 55%. Atlanta is the largest city in Georgia and it has had black majors for a number of years. As with other states the older population with prejudices long held are dying out and being replaced with thoughtful citizens that do not hold onto the prejudices of the past. This presents a significant opportunity for democrats to turn this state into a blue state.

 

In Texas, non-Hispanic whites constitute 45% of the population. Hispanics or Latinos constitute approximately 38% of the Texas population. Blacks or African Americans constitute approximately 12% of the population. These demographics appear to offer democrats the ideal situation to turn the state into a blue one.

 

Considering republican policies that adversely affect all of these minority groups, the democrats should go full throttle ahead to capture these states at future elections.
