Crystal chandeliers and their romantic history

What are crystal chandeliers?

What are crystal chandeliers you ask? Well, to answer your question, a crystal chandelier is a specific type of chandelier that is based on crystals and glass. The typical crystal chandelier is known to have a body that is made out of iron, steel or nay other strong metal that will be able to balance the weight of the glass and the crystals. Also, the metal is molded into hooks on many sides, typically 8-15 sides. On each side is a frame that is made out of either glass or crystal. If glass is used, the glass is curved and cut so that it looks like a crystal and gives the impression that it is one of the many crystal chandeliers. The typical crystal chandelier may also contain accessories such as brittle and fragile thin glass structures that are hanging out of the wholes or holders that the chandelier allots to them.

Are there more than on types of the typical crystal chandelier?

Yes, in fact, there are two types of the typical crystal chandelier. The two types are large and small/mini. These are not as much types as they are sizes. Also, these types have different sizes in which they are available in.

Their romantic history

If you are looking for a way to give your dining room or bedroom a look of romance, there is nothing that can achieve that look faster or more tastefully than a crystal chandelier. That is simply because the crystal chandelier has a history of giving rooms a romantic look that is fit for any couple, whether newlywed or just in the mood to have a little one on one time. These chandeliers are ornate pieces of hardware made from wood, crystal, wrought iron, and brass, bronze, pewter and even antlers. Many of them have intricate carvings that give them a refined air and add to the romanticism of the fixture. They might also have glass or crystal structures that are fragile added to them as accessories. Have you ever wondered why hotel rooms that are especially designed for newlyweds are equipped with crystal chandeliers that do not emit much light? There are two reasons for that.

The first reason is because the crystal chandelier has a bit of a romantic history and the second reason is because newlyweds don’t need a highly illuminated room as they like to be in the dark for their wedding night. Although originally designed as the primary light source in a hall, castle or room a crystal chandelier used in modern homes serves a decorative purpose and provides soft lighting for an overall romantic ambiance. All of this romantic stuff had started being linked to the typical crystal chandelier when they went viral and were found in bedrooms all over the world. The main reason why they are known as the chandeliers that make a room more romantic is because they are designed for bedrooms. And, what better romantic place in any house than a bedroom?
