Partial Or Broken Denture Escondido CA

Although some damages to a denture or partial may be caused by an accident, many times they are the result of an ill-fitting appliance or one that is in need or relining. Do not attempt to repair a broken or cracked dental appliance at home

Trying to repair a broken denture at home can lead to further damage or cause the appliance to become ill-fitting. An improper repair may require additional repairs and more cost. An improper home repair may result in making the denture impossible to repair. Using superglue is at best a temporary fix. The glued area will not be as strong as it was originally. Also, the glue can break down the acrylic material that makes up your denture or partial and may shortens its life, which will require you to replace it with a new one.

If breakage occurs to the metal framework of a partial, it may not be able to be repaired. Call our office at 760-291-8454 for a complementary evaluation of your dental appliance.

All Porcelain Crowns Escondido, CA

All porcelain crowns resemble your natural teeth. They are designed to match the size, shape, and color of your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile.

All porcelain crowns are an excellent solution for improving upon unattractive natural teeth or to replace unnatural-looking traditional metal-based porcelain crowns, which have been used for a number of years. The new porcelain materials used in all porcelain crowns are stronger than traditional porcelain material and therefore, do not require metal backing for support.

The picture above shows a case in which Dr. Malone replaced the upper metal-based porcelain crowns with all porcelain crowns. The results are stunning and look very natural. The patient subsequently replaced all the older lower crowns with all porcelain crowns in Escondido. CA.

The new upper crowns are look very natural and the dark gum lines have been eliminated. The teeth are more proportionate in size. Her smile is greatly improved.

A More Natural Alternative

The above photos show a comparison of traditional metal-supported porcelain crowns and All Porcelain Crowns when a strong light is allowed to pass through. The crowns on the left have a metal foundation underneath the layers of porcelain. The metal “framework” is used to strengthen the traditional type porcelain layers. The metal layer will not allow light to pass through it and, therefore, the crowns do not appear translucent (like a natural tooth). The all porcelain crowns on the right allow light to pass through them like natural teeth and will appear more life-like.
