What else do the research findings tell us?

The research was commissioned by the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA), and involved the polling of some 1,790 Britons who had made the swap from smoking to vaping or were in the process of doing so. Indeed, of those participants, more than half said they had switched with financial considerations in mind.

Intriguingly, the study also highlighted various other common reasons people chose to quit traditional cigarettes for vaping. Many respondents said they were motivated by the desire to have better teeth and breathe more easily, for instance.

Furthermore, it seems that the decision of this group to become vapers has been bringing them great results. 43% said they felt less stressed, 23% described themselves as having become more confident in social circles, and a fifth of the respondents claimed making the change had even given them a greater sense of taste.

The fact that one in five of the respondents also said they felt more accepted by friends and acquaintances, as well as that eight in 10 would recommend becoming a vaper to those who are attempting to quit tobacco cigarettes, indicates that the decision made by this group was more than worthwhile. More than two thirds went as far as saying that they would ‘never’ resume smoking.
