Could The Canon Imageprograf Ta-20 Or Ta-30 Be Your Workplace’s Ideal Next Large

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

Is your design office or studio in the market for a multi-Purpose large Format Inkjet Printer that it can depend on for the rapid printing of CAD and general poster work? If so, the Canon ImagePROGRAF models that we are launching on our site from late November could represent the ideal solution, with the TA-20 being a 24” A1 printer, and the TA-30 a 36” A0 machine.

What are the key advantages of these printers?

Both the TA-20 and TA-30 use new pigment inks in the five colours of Matte Black, Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow to produce waterproof prints for indoor and outdoor use, as the user is likely to especially appreciate when looking to create short-term posters and banners. This is undeniably a truly versatile wide format printer.

These printers also both come with 55ml ink tanks for smaller print jobs, and are easy to use for the production of documents ranging from CAD work to presentations. They are also easy printers to accommodate in the workspace, providing 60% noise reduction, not to mention compact, with both models incorporating a flat rear that enables the machine to be placed against a wall to save space. The available connectivity choices also add to their flexibility, with the opportunity to choose to connect via USB, network cable and wireless connection.

Another invaluable characteristic of the TA-20 and TA-30 is their strengthened security, data being protected with authentication protocols, providing additional reassurance.

The greatest pleasure, however, is in the printing

The printing process itself has to be the greatest selling point of these two large format inkjet printer models; they can both handle media weights of up to 300gsm, and can be counted on to print at a remarkable speed of 32 seconds for an A1 print in the case of the TA-20, and 53 seconds when A0 Print Fast Mode is used on the TA-30.

Print accuracy is also impressive with both of these printers, line accuracy of +0.1% or less being assured, such precision printing being made possible with the assistance of a sophisticated air-feeding system that holds the paper flat. The print resolution for the two models is 2,400 x 1,200 dpi.

The versatility and flexibility of these machines, meanwhile, is furthered by their ability to take rolls of up to 150mm in diameter, which enables them to accept 175m-length rolls in 75gsm or 80gsm weights. While standard inkjet printers will only accept rolls on a 2” core, both 2” and 3” core adaptors are incorporated to allow for the flexibility of printing using 175m rolls lengths. This is just another feature these printers offer that gives the user a greater wealth of options, enabling unattended printing and reduce time spent in roll changes.
