Corporate Team Building Events

by Macy Busson E - Business

One of the key principles in the construction of any building is the need for a solid foundation. This idea also applies to the infrastructure of an organization.  A situation where members of an organization cannot effectively work as a team is similar to a building with a foundation made of glass.   The Corporate Learning Institute has taken this principle to heart by providing result-driven training and development programs to organizations for over 25 years.  15 years ago, CLI created Team Achieve, which provides social networking and team building opportunities for organizations of all sizes.  Organizations can allow their employees the opportunity to engage in challenging and exciting team events that facilitate team development.  These events can involve anything from climbing across a tree-top obstacle course to racing soap box cars.  Each event is designed to encourage the development of trust, communication, fair play, and community throughout any organization.  Team Achieves’ goal is to provide organizations with the opportunity to learn and grow from their experience.

Corporate team building events are designed to encourage participants to take risks, trust one another, and challenge both themselves and the group. Some of the programs offer building events, charity events, racing events, cooking events, training events, and outdoor events.   Each event offers a range of learning lessons, with the overall goal of creating networking and development opportunities for the participants.

The Racing Event is a particularly popular and effective program offered by Team Achieve.  The Racing Event consists of two activities designed to test a team’s ability to work as a unit.  The first activity is The Drag Strip Challenge, where teams must trade for necessary supplies in order to design, build, and race a model car against other teams.  Teams race their custom built cars against each other down a 25 foot race track.  The Soap Box Derby, which is the second event, pushes the teams a step further.  Each team must now design, build, and race a full sized soap box car, driven by a member of their team.  Teams are competing for one of the three awards, which are most creative, fastest, and most collaborative team.

The Outdoor Event is considered typically to be the most challenging of the events offered.  This event is designed to develop trust, communication, and teamwork. Participants must help and encourage one another to leave their normal comfort zone in order to complete both rope courses.  The Team Low Ropes Course is a collection of obstacles which requires everyone to work together in order to finish.  The second course, The Expedition High Ropes Course, gives participants the opportunity to participate in a tree top obstacle course, 24 feet the ground. Teams must work together to navigate their way across the 700 foot canopy platform.  This Outdoor Event offers a unique approach to developing team unity which is vitally important in the workplace.

Team Achieve believes that, “We have found that active participation ensures that communication, trust, collaboration, innovation, and team identity flourish.”  For over 15 years, Team Achieve and The Corporate Learning Institute have held to this belief by providing a fun and unforgettable experience in the pursuit of developing teamwork and morale within an organization.

Team achieve is a corporate team building event that creates a fast-paced learning environment to open communication, create inter-personal trust, and optimize collaboration. Our collaborative hands-on approach includes break-out sessions which will allow for your team to feel successful and want to apply the learning lessons back to work. The Team Jump Start is effective because it takes participants out of their regular work routines and immerses them in a rich and supportive learning environment. When coupled with an experiential approach and a variety of basic team skills, participants leave with solid learning outputs. This half-full day session will allow your group members to get to know each other, and leave with a new history of what it feels like to work as a high performance team.

The Corporate Learning Institute works with small to large businesses, non-profit and government organizations with the belief that confident and motivated individual contributors, leaders, and teams are the backbone of organizational performance. Our corporate team building programs team, renew, and inspire your employees to tackle the important challenges they will be facing. All of our programs include an experiential phase that allows participants to learn through direct experience. Subsequent to the experiential phase of the corporate team building event, our experienced facilitators will lead break-out sessions and discussion groups so that the lessons learned can be fully understood and integrated into their daily work.
