Coronavirus Cases Are Slowing Down – But Here’s Why Your Business Shouldn’t

by Roemin Creative Technology BE FOUND & INCREASE YOUR BUSINESS

In the recent months, we’ve seen the precautionary closing down of many brick-and-mortar stores across the globe. The recent slow-down of the pandemic leading to relaxed Coronavirus restrictions have allowed for the reopening of many businesses across Australia.

However, it is highly unlikely that in a split second, stores will be bustling and businesses will thrive with walk-in customers and in-store sales once again.

As such, it is still as important as ever for businesses to maintain their online presence and focus their efforts on boosting their online sales.

Here are 5 ways to maintain your online presence and increase your e-commerce sales

1. Create valuable content.

By producing content that educates the consumer, you place your brand as the expert in that field. Customers will forward the information to their friends and family members, increasing your exposure and reach. This is a great way to show off your brand and product/service without seeming “pushy”, but ultimately drawing customers to you instead of seeking them out.

2. Invest in remarketing.

Keep your brand at the top of customers’ minds through remarketing ads. As the customer journey becomes increasingly fragmented, it can take a customer several days or even weeks to decide on their purchase. Remarketing allows brands to provide plenty of opportunities for a customer to convert at the customer’s convenience.

3. Ensure a consistent brand message across all platforms.

Customers are spoilt for choice when it comes to online shopping. Many often have multiple tabs open on their browser at a time. If you’re selling a particular product, make sure that the information remains consistent on your ads and your website, as customers can get distracted and confused when there’s a discrepancy between your ads and the actual product listing.

4. Map out a clear customer journey.

You don’t want to overwhelm your customers with a ton of information from the get go. This will only cause you to lose customers and increase your website’s bounce rate.

Display your top-selling products or key services on your virtual storefront – your homepage, with clear call-to-actions, whether that’s purchasing an item or enquiring about your services.

5. Optimise your website for mobile.

With the increase in social distancing and precautionary self-isolation, individuals are stuck scrolling on their mobile devices pretty much the entire day. If your website isn’t optimised for mobile, the money spent on your online ads would have gone to waste, as potential customers can lose interest or get frustrated at a non-responsive website.
