While using the computer with Windows 8, if it stops responding, there must be something wrong. When your computer stops responding to your commands or you are facing some other issue, you need to fix it. Mostly, the issue in Windows 8 comes up when your computer has a hardware failure, or your system driver is outdated. You can either try fixing your Windows issue on your own or contact the technical support team.
Windows 8 not responding fixes
When your computer is causing the issue or has stopped responding to the commands, it could result in a system crash or freeze so get computer technician support for this. The troubleshooting steps to fix the issue are as follows:
Troubleshoot as admin- The steps are as follows if you have the access control panel:
Press and hold Windows+X.
Click on the option of Control Panel, and select Action Center.
Click the link of Troubleshoot computer problems.
In the window of troubleshooting, click on System and Security.
Under the option of System Maintenance, click on the option of Run as Administrator.
Finally, you can restart your system to check its working.
Disable unnecessary apps- If you find any unnecessary apps on your system, you need to disable it:
Access the task manager.
Go to the Startup tab.
Now, you will find a list of apps. On the unwanted apps, click the disable option.
Finally, reboot the system to check the working of Windows 8.
Run the antivirus scan- You can try running a system check with the antivirus scan. If there is any virus, you need to clean it for the proper working.
Check the hardware installation- In case you have recently changed the hardware settings, check for the installation.
Reinstall Windows- If nothing is working for the computer issue, you can reinstall Windows 8 in it.
