Common Solutions for Grammarly Issues on Windows 10

by John Martin Engineer

Grammarly is one of the best and most popular SPAG checker apps for every device imaginable. It offers you an excellent spell checker feature, which better than the average word processor capacity. But according to some Windows 10 users, the app does not function correctly. So, if you are one of them, then follow the solutions in this article.

Remove the Cookies of Browser

Here are the steps to remove the cookies of the Google Chrome browser:

1.      Firstly, you have to navigate to the Settings of your browser.

2.      Then you should move down to the end of the screen section and then choose the Advanced option.

3.      After that, click on the ‘Clear browsing data’ option.

4.      Later, choose the option of ‘Cookies and other site data.’

5.      You have to choose the settings of ‘Cached images and files’ to remove the cache.

6.      Now, hit the button of Clear data.

Check the Compatibility of Browser

Grammarly is not compatible with every browser. There are five browsers that are compatible with Grammarly, like Chrome, Edge, Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox. If you are using a browser apart from these, Grammarly will not work.

Update the Browser

Following are the steps to update your Google Chrome browser:

1.      Click on the vertical ellipsis at the upper right side of the screen of the browser to open the menu.

2.      After that, choose the Help option to extend the submenu.

3.      Then select the ‘About Google Chrome’ option to invoke the section.

4.      Chrome will start checking updates automatically.

5.      If any update is available, then you will have to update it.

6.      To complete the browser updating, select the button of Relaunch.

Disable the Windows Defender Firewall

You should follow the instructions given below:

1.      Go to the button of ‘Type here to search’ over the taskbar to invoke the Cortana.

2.      After that, insert ‘Windows Firewall’ into it, hit the Enter key, and then choose the Windows Defender Firewall to invoke its Control Panel applet.

3.      You should choose the ‘Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off’ option to invoke the settings.

4.      Now, choose both the ‘Turn off Windows Defender Firewall network’ settings there then select the button of OK.

Reset Your Chrome Browser

You should follow these instructions given below:

1.      Navigate to the address bar of Chrome.

2.      Then input ‘chrome://settings/’ into it and hit the Enter key.

3.      You should choose the Advanced option to extend the section of Settings.

4.      After that, move to the Reset and erase it at the lower side of the section of Settings.

5.      You have to choose the ‘Restore settings to their original defaults’ option to invoke the box of Reset settings.

6.      Now, hold the button of Reset Settings to reset the Chrome to its default configuration.

So, upgrading the browser, disable the Windows Defender Firewall and antivirus, and clearing cookies of the browser will possibly repair most Grammarly web application errors. You should also try reducing the document length as Grammarly may not check lengthy documents.
