Feeding 10 billion people by 2050 with a healthy and sustainable diet will be impossible without transforming eating habits, improving food production, and reducing food waste. How can we solve this challenge?

Inspired by the SDG 13 Climate Action, 13 leading Swedish Climate Champions are presenting 13 Climate Challenges that need to be solved. We want to turn your ideas and skills into new Climate Startups that bring solutions to fight one of the biggest problems of our time.

Challenge Statement

Diet and food production must radically change to improve health and build the resilience of the biosphere. Feeding 10 billion people by 2050 with a healthy and sustainable diet will be impossible without transforming eating habits, improving food production, and reducing food waste. How can we solve this challenge?

Guidance on solving the challenge

Transforming how we produce and what we eat will require bold moves and experimentation. Innovations will need to push consumer values toward more sustainable and healthy diets while also have the potential to be replicated and scaled up to influence legislation and regulatory environments.

Finally, six carefully selected Climate Startups will continue into a new Sting Accelerator program providing tailored support. investment and a growth-boost to the most promising Climate Startups in Sweden.
