Choose a room air purifier carefully for best results

In recent times, air pollution is known to have caused severe damage to the lungs of people in India. This has compelled the authorities to take preventive measures to curtain the damage at least for our future generations. Due to rapid greenhouse emissions and increasing vehicular congestion, the air quality in the northern parts of the India tends to witness severe air pollution in winter months due to accumulation of dust particles in the atmosphere. This is mostly about outdoor air pollution but there is another side of the story and that is indoor air pollution.

When it comes to treat the air pollution of indoor environments, the majority of experts suggest installation of a room air purifier. An air purifier is basically an air filtration device that is meant to purify the air using different means. This machine traps the bacteria and other harmful allergens and releases the healthy air in a limited indoor environment.

Most of the air purifiers in India are loaded with HEPA filters. Air purifiers loaded with a HEPA air filter trap up to 99.97% of all particles, such as allergens, pollen, dust, dander, and others that are 0.03 microns and larger in size; unsafe indoor air particles that cause allergy and asthma signs are measured to be about 0.03 microns or larger.

Another category of room air purifier is based on electrostatic air filtration technology. An electrostatic air purifier is very alike HEPA air purifiers, but they do not use air filters. Electrostatic air purifiers employ an electrical charge to fix particles roving in the air stream. As an outcome, the charged particles fix to the edges of the internal filtration system on collection plates, but only 30% of particles are eliminated from the indoor air.
