Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture

by Kimberly Anne Hoffman Kimberly Anne Hoffman
The practice of Chinese Medicine is over 2,000 years old and rooted in the belief that we are deeply connected to our environment. Acupuncture is a holistic form of medicine which treats the entire body, mind and spirit.

Our lives, thoughts, emotions and physical health can either be in a balanced state or stagnant. Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine helps to remove the blocked energy that is causing an imbalance in your system and leading to disease.

According the World Health Organization, acupuncture can treat a variety of diseases ranging from internal pathogens to external musculo-skeletal problems and even mental and emotional issues.

This is great! Two years ago, I had for the first time an acupuncture session for about 3 months for a back pain that made me suffered for years but it is all gone now. I wish I had done it earlier.

Great post. I am a fan of alternative medicine which treats not only the symptom, but instead concentrate on the person as a whole, including their environment and more.

I am a big fan of alternative medicine mainly because they are (and I quote you): "a holistic form of medicine which treats the entire body, mind and spirit." Conventional medicine has it's positives but has one major weakness: It regards the human body as if it is some kind of mere machine - as if it is not connected to the environment and has no mind or spirit of its own and thus seems to concentrate on mainly dealing with the symptoms of diseases instead of the root cause. Real genuine alternative medicine addresses the disease from its root cause.
