Image Every time you look at a lovely photograph of a child in an advertisement, a smile comes to your face. Children are adorable, somehow their pictures make the ad seem even more real and the advertising agencies take advantage of the emotional contact a child makes with the customer.

This is one the major reasons why child modelling has become such a popular career among children and their parents. There is rising demand for child models and the field is very crowded now. The number of models who are a part of this lucrative field is rising steadily, and every doting parent thinks that their child looks good, acts well and should really and truly be a part of every good advertisement on TV or in print.

But, there are many factors which determine the choice of the child who will be a model for any particular advertisement. Child photography, specially for the print and still ads is a very specialised field and the choice of the model is based upon the product which they are advertising, upon their age and above all on how they respond to the camera and how well they are able to emote when the photographer asks them to depict a certain emotion.

Kids modelling agencies in India generally look for kids who look good, they should not look like adults, but like kids with the innocence of infancy or joyous expressions of teenagers. They are also looking for kids who are not cranky and get irritated easily. Kid modelling is a tedious process, the process takes time and the kids need to have the patience to be able to go through it without getting upset.

There are many child modelling agencies in Delhi, and all of them train the child to some degree on how to be photographed and how to express laughter or mischievousness in front of the camera. The agencies deal with the children with understanding, and with a realisation that the children should enjoy what they are doing rather than be forced into doing this. The parents are requested to be present, since their being there gives the child confidence and a sense of security. The children are made to feel comfortable and often they are just allowed to be themselves while the photographs are being taken.

Child photography and modelling is a lucrative business, but it is also time consuming. Before a child is introduced into this field, the parents and the agencies should make sure that the child’s studies are not affected and that they do not lose track of the real world.
