Chevrolet Trailblazer VS Toyota Fortuner 2016 VS Ford Endeavour 2016: Spec-based comparison
The Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV(with Car DVD) has finally launched made its debut in Indian market at INR 26.4 lakh (ex showroom Delhi). Unveiled at Auto Expo 2012, this latest SUV from GM has been the highly anticipated vehicle of this year. So how will it perform against its upcoming rivals like 2016 Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour? Will it tick all the correct boxes available? Let’s have a quick comparison based on its specification sheets.
All three vehicles look gigantic, sporty and have a brilliant road presence. The all new Trailblazer measures 4878mm in length, 1902mm in width, 1834mm height, it has a wheel base 2870mm and an impressive ground clearance of 215mm with a fuel capacity of 76 litres. On the other hand, the upcoming Toyota Fortuner measures 4795mm in length, it width measures 1855mm, 1835mm of height, 2745mm of wheelbase and a ground clearance of 225mm. The latest SUV from Toyota features a fuel tank of 80 litres. The upcoming 2016 Ford Endeavour beats both of its rival in dimension with a gigantic length of 4893mm, 1836mm of height, width of 1862mm, wheelbase of 2850mm and a fuel capacity of 81 litres.
Powering the new Trailblazer is a four cylinder, 2.8 litre Duramax diesel engine that pumps out 200 bhp of maximum power at 3600 rpm and a class leading torque of 500Nm at 2,000 rpm. The 2016 Toyota Fortuner will come in two variants – a 2.4 litre diesel that will produce 160 bhp of maximum power and a torque of 400Nm. The other variant is a 2.8 litre diesel engine that produces 177 bhp of power and 450Nm of peak torque in manual transmission and 400Nm of torque in Automatic transmission. The upcoming Ford Endeavour will also be available in two engine option – a 2 litre diesel and 3.2 litre diesel that will churn out a power of 197 bhp at 3000 rpm and 470Nm of torque at 1750- 2500 rpm .

The 2016 Toyota Fortuner will come with Leather wrapped multifunction steering wheel, One-touch folding for second row seats, A cooled glovebox, Android Car Gps with a touchscreen and Toyota Link connectivity, USB and AUX support, Automatic AC, 8 -way power adjustable driver’s seat, TFT Multi-information display, Push button start, Electric tailgate, Paddle shifter and a new Optitron instrument cluster. The new 2016 Endeavour features such as Powered Tail Gate Brake Assist, Projector Headlamps with Daytime Running LEDs, Moonroof (1st & 2nd Row), Ford SYNC2 Infotainment System with 8-inch Touchscreen Onboard Wifi, Roof Mounted Air Con Vents (2nd & 3rd Row), Powered Front Seats, Fully flat folding 2nd & 3rd row seats and Electronic Locking Rear Differential.
