The Toyota Altezza is an entry-level sports car also referred to as the Lexus IS which was first introduced in 1998. It was under the plate name Altezza and produced for only one generation from 1998 until 2005 while the second generation is known as Lexus from 2005 – 2008. The Altezza RS200 is mated to a 5-speed automatic, while the model AS200 sedan is available with a 6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. 

The Altezza IS300 was the only US version equipped with a 3.0L 2JZ-GE six-cylinder engine that generates power of 217hp and is paired to a 5-speed manual, while the Altezza Gita sport cross wagon is also mated to a 5-speed automatic. The average fuel consumption for 2.0L 1G-FE is 11.6 km/L, and for 2.0L 3S-GE is 11.0 km/L.
