Cheap Holidays to Las Vegas Take You to Exciting Attractions
by Daisy Wilkinson Travel GuidesLas Vegas is a globally renowned city located
in the Nevada state of the United States of America. Known by various
nicknames, such as the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' and 'America's
Playground', the city is well-known for its diverse offerings in shopping,
entertainment, fine dining, and nightlife. It was settled at the beginning of
the 20th century and has grown into one of the most visited tourist
destinations in the world. During your time spent in this exciting American
city, you'll get to explore its magnificent hotels and entertainment complexes.
The best time to enjoy your Las Vegas holidays is during the
spring season from March to May. You'll find the climate extremely pleasant
with comfortable daytime temperatures favourable for indulging in sightseeing
and various other outdoor activities. An additional benefit of visiting during
this season is the discount given by any of the hotels on their room rates.
From the month of June to August, this city experiences its summer with higher
temperatures and short-lived rains. Autumn from September to November is
another great time to visit the city with delightful temperatures. However, the
visitors tend to increase in the initial days of this season. Winter from
December to February is quite chilly and can be expensive, especially if you're
planning your holiday for the month of December.
Your cheap
holidays to Las Vegas can be made truly exciting by exploring The
Strip, which is the central section of Las Vegas Boulevard running through the
city. It is lined with massive entertainment complexes, each having its own
theme. This particular place can be a visual delight when the sun goes down as
it comes alive with brightly-lit neon signs. You can enjoy these fantastic
sights while walking along The Strip from the north-east to the south-west.
During your Las Vegas holidays, you can visit the old downtown and savour the
unique sights in a pedestrian-only area called Fremont Street. A part of it is
illuminated with sparkling LED lights that seem to have spread all over like a
canopy. Every night, the visitors to this part of Las Vegas are treated to the
Fremont Street Experience, which involves a fabulous visual and music show.
Some of the best performers come up with their special acts outdoors,
entertaining the passers-by. This street is located a few kilometres away from
the Strip and can be reached by taking a taxi.
Another great place worth visiting while
holidaying in the city is The Mob Museum, which is located in downtown Las
Vegas. It is officially called the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law
Enforcement and features various stories and artefacts. They give you some
interesting insights into the history of organised crime in the country and the
measures adopted to stop such crimes by the law enforcement authorities. It was
opened in the year 2012 and was developed under the direction of Dennis Barrie,
the co-creator of the International Spy Museum, and is governed by a non-profit
board called the 300 Stewart Avenue Corporation in partnership with the City of
Las Vegas.
