Change in SSC CGL 2016 Exam Pattern
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) coaching has become quite popular in Delhi region in the recent years. A few Centers like the Excel SSC, the Mahendra’s Institute, the Sky Institute, and the Paramount Coaching center are the well-known institutes for providing best SSC Coaching in Delhi. A recent change in the exam pattern in SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam 2016 has been announced which are as follows:
- The Exam for both Tier I and Tier II papers will be conducted online.
- The Tier I Paper time duration will be for 75 minutes consisting of 100 questions of 200 marks. The time duration for candidates of cerebral Palsy will be 100 minutes. The paper will have four sections of 25 marks each- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
- The Tier I paper will have negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.
- The Tier II papers will also have a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer except for English section which will have deduction of 0.25 marks for a wrong answer. This Tier will have four papers in total, the Quantitative Ability, the English Language, the statistics, and the fourth one will include accounts, economics, and Commerce.
- The Tier III exam will have descriptive papers added to it which will be available in two languages- English and Hindi. One has to choose one medium of writing the test.
- The Descriptive paper will be a written examination with a pen and a paper mode comprising of 100 marks. The time duration for the test will be 1 hour which will include the following- Essay writing, Letter writing, Application Writing, and Preci Writing etc. The qualifying marks in this tier will be 33 percent. For candidates who are suffering from cerebral palsy will have the test for 80 minutes.
- The Tier IV exam will have either Data Entry Skill Test (DEST), or Computer Efficiency Test (CPT), wherever applicable, which would be of qualifying nature. The time duration will be mentioned in the Notice of Examination.
- The Tier I exam will be from 27th August, 2016 to 11th September, 2016 whereas the Tier II exam has been scheduled for November 2016.
- The Tier III and the Tier IV exams will be held in January, 2017, subject to changes as and when required.
- The final marking will be done on the basis of the overall scores of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III. But the candidate has to qualify all the Tiers separately, as there will be no sectional Cut-offs.
- The final results will be declared in the last week of April, 2017.
