CCW Class Athens

This CCW class in Athens provides the firearm safety and knowledge needed to safely handle and properly use a concealed firearm.  Designed to prepare you for concealed carry, our instructors work diligently to ensure you are read to conceal carry upon completion of this course.  We explain the skills you should have before carrying a concealed weapon, and then our instructors actively educate you in those areas.  

One of the biggest problems with carrying a concealed firearm is lack of education.  Multiple problems can be caused by not knowing the laws surrounding yours and others rights when it comes to self-defense and firearms.  Even though the laws do not require you to take a CCW class, you should.  With great power comes great responsibility and a concealed weapon gives you a lot of power.  We educate you on the laws in Georgia.  We cover your right to carry as well as your rights to self-defense.  

The CCW Class Athens also cover safety.  Our instructors teach you how to safely and effectively use and handle your firearm.  They teach you the correct techniques and tactics to use while handling your firearm.  The way you draw your weapon can actually mean the difference in life and death in some situations.  We go over a variety of techniques to enhance your ability to draw your weapon quickly and efficiently. We also go over techniques aimed at effectively drawing and firing your weapon.  The split seconds between drawing and firing can mean the difference of life and death in a multitude of different situations. We teach you how to handle your weapon carefully.  Accidental shooting happen daily over improper handling techniques.  We will show you how to handle your weapon and minimize the risk of accidental occurrences.  We also cover the importance of properly reloading your weapon quickly.  The few seconds between fire and reload can mean the difference in life and death. With our shooting techniques, we hope you will not need to reload, but it is still a good idea to know how to do it properly and quickly just in case.  We also cover proper carrying methods and the importance of appropriate gear.

Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, people freeze.  Split seconds can have multiple consequences in a deadly situation.  That split second it takes you to decide whether the situation calls for you to defend yourself with your weapon, could be all that is needed to end your life.  In order to make sure you are fully prepared, we also go into scenarios of when and where your weapon may be needed.  Our instructors vividly do their best to paint a mental image of possible situations you may need your gun, and when other options are available.
