Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

The aviation industry is making a change and using flights to reach destinations has become a way of life for most of the public. And the field needs a regular supply of skilled and talented professionals to create a functional system of aircraft traffic. The significant relevance of AME causes hiring of them, from working with airlines to maintenance organizations and aviation companies. AMEs take various career paths for their own fruition and satisfaction. There are several opportunities for skilled Aircraft maintenance engineering personnel in the aviation industry, including the following: -

Airlines

Airline companies need the most number of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers for a functional system in airports. The number of AMEs required increases for busier airports. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering staff are well equipped to handle any technical problem in airports and increase security and operate in many departments such as line maintenance and avionics.

Aircraft Manufacture

The design and manufacture of aircraft are completely different sectors and the tasks of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering technicians are to provide technical assistance to assemble aircraft at deadlines by given clients.

Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Companies:

Major repairs can't be completed at the airport, and they need the services of MRO companies, and that condition can cancel that day’s flight and transport the aircraft to the MRO workshop. There is a definite need for a skilled workforce of aircraft maintenance engineering personnel that needs to function in an MRO workshop for efficiency.

General Aviation

The civil aviation companies that do not include commercial air transport are called general aviation. It can be further divided into private aircraft, corporate aircraft, and charter aircraft.

AME’s work is not too hectic as that of commercial air transport but occasional maintenance is required by private aircraft owners, corporate aviation departments, and charter operators.

AME Instructors

Apart from commercial air transport, another important operation needed is the grooming of skilled AMEs. So tenured AMEs get jobs as AME instructors in aviation institutes. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering institutes provide respectful salaries and regular jobs in order to prepare students for both classroom instruction and practical training.

AME instructors are shaping the future of aviation by providing knowledge of Aircraft maintenance engineering concepts and functional parts. As the aviation industry is undergoing a transformation, there is an increase in the need for skilled AMEs, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering instructors in various aviation institutes are up to the task, of producing perfect technicians for any emergency problem in aircraft components.

They offer practical training as well as aircraft maintenance and repair. They prepare lesson drafts, presentations, designs and training timelines. They are continually updated to changing technologies and include these parts during instruction, as the aviation industry is constantly evolving.

Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI)

QAI is a discretionary person who ascertains that the rules and regulations followed by AMEs are within the national and international guidelines. QAI also handles the documentation part of aircraft maintenance and ensures compliance.

Maintenance Planner

If an aircraft is grounded for maintenance, the maintenance planner should have an idea about the time frame in which the aircraft will be ready for take-off. They are always surrounded by a close team of AMEs surrounding them, to ascertain the overall operation of the aircraft
