Many people feel better when they come home to a dog. Dogs become more than just pets, and move up in the minds and hearts of its owners as a member of the family. In addition to protecting his family, he also provides great companionship. Studies have also shown that pet owners simply pet their dogs can also live longer. Most will attest to the fact that they feel better when being in the company of dogs as well. Aside from that, people need to know what breeds would best fit their lifestyle. For example, many people love the look of parti poodles, but they may not be the right choice for families with young children.

First off, it's important to know what type of dog this is. Simply put, it is a poodle whose coat is one with more than a 50% white base and a secondary color. Over the years, the secondary color was phased out more or less, but original poodles were actually parti colored. Bred in a variety of sizes, they make wonderful pets.

Their sizes are distinguished by the adult shoulder height. Teacup poodles are tiny, and ideal for those who live in small spaces. Of course, they aren't limited to only apartment dwellers, as many like having small companions that they can put in a bag and carry around.

Originally bred in Germany and standardized in France, this breed of dog promises agility and obedience. Considered as hypoallergenic as they come, teacup poodle breeders are proud that they are practically allergen free. They do however shed very lightly, where most of it gets tangled in the rest of the coat.

That said, it's important to avoid matting through careful grooming. Regular brushing on a daily basis is almost a must. Coat textures for these breeds can range from soft to coarse and wavy to woolly. Clipping should be done approximately every eight weeks. To avoid high costs of professional grooming, it can be done at home.

Since dogs live indoors, it's nice to find a breed that doesn't shed much, which is the poodle. Keep in mind that they don't have to have these freaky cuts as do many of these show dogs. Moreover, one can choose to clip them extensively, so that they become easy to brush.

It should be noted that these dogs are very athletic and have great jumping and retrieving skills. They are also quite intelligent and easy to train. They respond easily to various training methods and learn quickly, but they are needy of attention and should not be ignored.

They make wonderful watchdogs. Should ever someone come to the door, he will respond by barking, although he won't be aggressive to strangers. They also react well to other dogs and cats. That said, these dogs require a good amount of exercise daily, and they prefer a routine, so they make the ideal companions for people who love routines.

Toy poodles enjoy a peaceful environment, without too much crazy activity. Having said that, they are not the best choice for children since they become easily overwhelmed with roughhousing. On the upside, they are quite lively and playful, as well as attentive and bright, and the best part, they are easy to housebreak.
