Cajun Wedding Traditions!

Tasteful pranks and practical jokes are often part of Cajun tradition, including siblings dancing with a mop designed to look like or represent the bride or groom. Sometimes the newly married couple comes home from their honeymoon to find rice in their bed or their sheets shortened.

French music is a great way to tie in the Cajun theme to your wedding as well. Music and dancing are a large part of any Cajun wedding celebration. One of the wedding dance traditions includes pinning money to the bride’s vale for luck and good fortune.
