There are no complex rules and regulations about vaping in Australia. You do not have to read a lengthy regulation act. It is quite simple. VAPING IS NOT ILLEGAL.

All vaping devices and products (excluding nicotine) is freely available for sale in Australia (except Queensland). All vaping devices with the use of non-nicotine e-juices are legal to buy in Australia (except Queensland).

All though it is illegal to sell nicotine within Australia, users are able to import e-juices containing nicotine for personal use. If you want an e-juice containing nicotine you are able to purchase from an international seller online and have it sent to Australia.

There are however a few guidelines to importing e-juices containing nicotine;

You are only allowed to import up to a 3 months supply of e-juice with nicotine at any time.

The 3 month supply of nicotine containing e-juice is based on the manufactures recommended dose and daily use.

The general rule is that 10ml of e-juice containing nicotine is equivalent to around 100 conventional cigarettes.

You are able to order e-juice containing nicotine no more than 5 times per year and not containing more than 3 months worth of supply per order.

The cost per order should not exceed $1000.

Keep in mind that all states and territories have there own rules and regulations. You may will need to check with each state and territory regulatory body about more information on regulations on vaping in you state. Not all states adhere to the same rules and laws.

Queensland is the only state in Australia where importing nicotine products are illegal. All other states and territories allow for the importation of e-juices containing nicotine.

There have been many debates over this idea of legalising nicotine containing e-juices in Australia for sale but at this stage it has not been passed or endorsed.
