B.Tech Admission in NU

The admissions in various UG and PG courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA programs are offered at NIIT University which is commonly termed as NU. The B.Tech admission in NU is conducted by the University which is called NUET and also other selected engineering entrance exams. The NU was established in the year 2008 in Neermana, Rajasthan. It also offers Integrated B.Tech programmes.

B.Tech admission in NU is done if the candidates have appeared in JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT and any State engineering Entrance examination and also NUET. NUET is a computer based test. NU offers the Biotechnology, CSE, ECE under the B.Tech Programme. The NUET entrance test will be conducted after seven days as soon as the candidates do their registration.

The eligibility criteria of the candidates to take admission in B.Tech Program in NU is that he/she must have scored not less than 60% marks in class 12 form any recognized board in India. The subjects taken should be Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English and the score in class 12 PCM should not be less than 60%.

The NU application form for B.Tech can be submitted both online and offline. The form is also available in  four cities of India in Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and New Delhi in their respective centres. The Application Fee varies form Rs 1000 to Rs 2000 depending on Early admission and Regular admission. The application can be paid through credit card/debit card/cash/cheque and DD. 

The admit card will be issued immediately to the candidates after the registration process is over and the application for has been received. The admit card is very necessary for the candidates to carry during the time of Personal Counselling Interaction and the entrance test. The entrance test will be total of 1 hour duration and there will be two marks for each correct answer. The pattern will be Multiple choice Question and in English language only.

As the NUET is a computer based test, the result will be declared within 48 hours that is 2 days. The candidates will get a notification of their result and scores in their mail id that has been registered during the time of application. The successful candidates need to undergo 4 rounds of counselling after the declaration of the result. The counselling session will be held in the renowned NIIT University campus. 

The candidates must carry Class 10 and 12 marksheet and certificate, original school leaving certificate/migration certificate, two passport size photograph and the score of the examination if attended last. The NU entrance test is only conducted if the candidates have not appeared for JEE Main, BITSAT, SAT or any other state engineering entrance exam. Along with personal counselling with the successful students, Parent Interaction is also done on the same day as per the appointment. After the counselling session the candidates will be selected and will be given an offer letter for admission within two days and they need to accept it within five working days of completing the Personal counselling Interaction.
