Briquetting Plant Manufacturer: Converting the Wastes into Energy

by Sandeep Kumar Search Engine Marketer
Industrialization has been catching up rapidly in our country but they have been affecting our environment at much higher speed. It is important that every industry should follow a production method so that our environment is protected and does not create an imbalance in our environment. Basically, the waste comes from agricultural stalks, forestry and other industries. Often they are left open in environment which leads to environment pollution.

Nowadays, briquetting of biomass fuel is used in various industries including commercial and household sectors. Fuel briquettes have been a success story in Kenya where manual machines have been installed to manufacture charcoal briquettes from waste. Today, they are being experimented in India to source out an alternative source of energy.

The Briquetting Technology

According to a reputed briquetting plant manufacturer, it is one of the alternative methods to save the consumption and dependency on wood. The fuel densities are easy to handle, store and transport. They have a uniform shape and size which does not lead to residual issue. Even the indoor air pollution is lessened. Presently, two different densification processes are adopted which are pyrolizing technology that depends on partial pyrolysis of biomass that is mixed with binders and then the briquettes are made by pressing and casting.

The second technology is direct extrusion in which the biomass is dried and directly compacted with the high pressure and heat. The raw materials are basically derived from agricultural residues, invasive plants and waste from bio-product industries like plywood, furniture, sawmill and others. Most briquetting plant manufacturers prefer the latter method.

Successful Briquetting Story

Here is one success story to share and a perfect example of starting a briquetting plant in rural India. An entrepreneur in Kenya who makes improved cooking stoves is now a briquette manufacturer. He gained his training on briquette production and immediately started to train people by acquiring a manual machine. He mainly used charcoal dust as a raw material.

Biomass briquettes are mainly used for cooking as well industrial purposes including generation of electricity. When biomass briquettes are burnt they give off more energy than conventional sources of fuel. Most industries need energy to carry out various processes which can only be fulfilled through briquettes.  A huge amount of solid blocks can only be manufactured through the Jumbo 90 machine which is unique in its own way. This machine is easy to operate and gives maximum production capacity.

When heat and high pressure is passed through biomass waste it gets converted into solid cylindrical briquettes. In this technology no external binder is used, therefore it is also known as binder less technology. Click here, to know more about the briquetting process.
