Home is where you live, breathe, eat, relax, and feel it ease. It can be anywhere is rich suburbs to a slum. But it’s yours, and how it appears can have positive effects not just on visitors but your mainly your own life, since, you’ll be the ones pending most time inside your premises.

Décor of the home influences people living in it directly or indirectly. And some of the key elements of house décor are: colours, space, theme, personalize items; art, and handicraft; vastu, feng-shui etc. Positive energy in your home décor brings out the positive energy from inside you, which helps you make better decisions and prosper in live.

Home décor is not only painting the walls white and add furniture where required, it’s more than that. It should depict your personality and lifestyle. And you can bring positive effects in your lifestyle by following these tips. 

Clean and clutter free: Get rid of the things you don’t need like old computer, old refrigerator, table, or anything you don’t need anymore. If you’re into modern technology and equipment, keep the wiring sorted out of your desktop or LED and keep them hidden.

Keep a closet or garage, to keep the old stuff boxed and separate.

Make you’re your home has enough natural lighting and less of artificial lighting.

Colours for the Wall: Colours can depict different emotions; choose for the colour that best suits your mood. Natural colors are recommended for home décor as this gives a feeling of peace in the household. Bright colours evoke positive emotions; avoid red colours on wall if possible.

  • Red colour can be a colour of romance but it can also mean aggressive and angry.
  • Oranges suggest warmth and enthusiasm, but too much can cause restlessness.
  • Yellows invite joy and inspiration, but too much can cause feelings of uncertainty.
  • Greens are healing and nurturing, but overdoing green can induce laziness.
  • Blues are calming and peaceful, but too much blue (particularly deep blue or indigo) can attract depressive energy.
  • Purples are good for inspiration and luxury. Violet in particular is good for healing and manifesting. Too many purples or violets can call in serious and even sorrowful energy. 

No matter what colors are used in your décor, be sure to strive for balance.

Natural flowers: Nothing can be more peaceful than the serenity of nature, and natural flowers add fragrance and sense of calmness inside you.

Use of Art: There are thousand different means of expressions to express art, it can be a painting, or a photograph, or a handicraft, or religious symbol, or even a musical instrument. Pick what you love; decorate the walls with photographs from the happy moments of your life. It will remind you that you have a good life and there’s no reason to be let down by small incidents that occur in your life.

Feng-shui is Chinese philosophical system to bring positive energy. The term feng-shui means: wind and water. It is used my many modern day interior designers and architects to design the best possible home for you.
