Bridging the Gap Between IITians and Private Engineers in India
It
is seen that the IITs are able to gain a great
height of appreciation and recognitions, but still the remaining 4000 private
engineering students are failing to produce technically skilled graduates to
fill the technical demand of the country.
There
are many reasons why those private engineers are not able to reach the level
where the IITians stand. Reasons behind this are:
- The IIT entrance
examination is the main reason. It does strict and quality filter of the
smartest youths of the country by admitting lesser than 2% of the total
applicants.
·
IITians are taught by
highly practiced and knowledgeable
scientists and corporate workers while private colleges appoint any Mtech
graduates as their professors.
·
The IITians are learning
Natural Language Processing and Machine learning during the early years of engineering
while private colleges are still giving soft skills in the final year.
·
IITians go for
internships in Google and Facebook but Private engineers go for certifications
in local institutions.
·
Since IITs are really
old organizations, so they get a lot of funding from the government fulfilling
the needs of complete quality education.
· IITs provide hostel facilities to almost 80 percent of its employees. But private colleges do not have vast hostel vacancies to incorporate all the students. Hence, IITians make more friends and become more social in comparison to the private engineers.
Although
IITs are much forward than the non-IITs but still we can create exceptions. Because
all is well that end is well. And at last, what really matters is skill and
nothing else. But still IITians are more influenced because of the already
mentioned points.
So in order to bridge the gap the private engineers should join clubs that helps
combined learning. They should go for e-learning
because e-learning is the only way through which any college student can attend
the lectures given by the IIT professors by few e-learning portals like Intellipaat And from the lessons learned through e-learning, they should implement in
building applications and then sharing them.
Through e-learning, you can attend the same classes what actually the students
from IITs attend. Learning what they learn will tend you to equalize your
knowledge with that of the IITians.
Though e-learning the private engineering college students can also go
for corporate training courses.
Going for technical courses will allow
the private engineers to get equipped with technology to the core. Learning
from core to advanced level and doing practical projects on those technologies will
be the best way to be technically rich. There is a high claim for certain
technologies like Hadoop, Big Data, Spark,
Scala, Digital marketing, etc. which can
be cultured through e-learning. A lot of
e-learning companies provide those corporate training. Highly experienced
trainers provide those courses all across the globe. Getting online training
from high experienced corporate professionals will create a corporate
foundation on the private engineers. They will be skilled with real-time
projects with high-speed programming capabilities and make themselves corporate
ready. Earning the skills and making themselves corporate ready will help the
private engineers stand on the level of those well-reputed colleges like IITs.
Getting well-trained with the updated technologies, the private engineers
should attend company’s exams and then get certified from those big companies
in the technology industry.
Once they start their corporate
training, video conferences, telephone calls, online meetings with different
people will make them very much social. It will result in enhancement of their
communication skills as well. Interacting and sharing ideas will raise the
virtual communication skill of the private engineers. With highly skilled
knowledge and great interacting skills, the private engineers will be able to
work in both real and virtual world with full Excellency. Once they have
polished skills they will be in high demands and they can get the best job they
want.
Brushing
up their technicals skills and staying updated with newer technologies will
always keep the private engineers most wanted to the technology industry. By standing on high demand zone, these
private engineers, of course, will be
able to remove the gap between them and the IIT engineers. I hope this article
is relevant for our private engineers. If any of our readers have got more
