Brand Marketing Center (BMC) An APSense Application

by Braj Mohan Sharma Technical

One of the most important aspects of building business is how our customers and clients perceive us. I am a firm believer that the more you define your business the better the understanding as well as consistency when it comes down to word of mouth.

Wincer introduced an application to me the other day and asked if I would test it out and tell him what I think. Needless to say I instantly fell in love withBMC. This application is designed with the new business owner in mind and works very well for the seasoned pro as well. In the next section of this article I will be talking about the new application on APSense called Brand MarketingCenter or BMC for short. If you are running a business online or off you will probably want to read this all the way through.

Let’s start with the title of the app, Brand Marketing Center. The title is exactly what the app is all about.“Building your business brand”.  I think the best way to start this off is with the concept behind branding and how to go about it in the first place.

From Beginning To Eternity

The first thing you will see is this statement “Create your brand page in less than 5 minutes”  and they really mean it but I would spend more time on the app than 5 minutes… Trust me on this, you will want to spend much more time fine tuning and being creative. I spent at least 3 hours trying different things just to get the look and feel just right.

Have a look at my BMC I created the other day

You will be taken through a wizard that will walk you through every aspect from start to finish. Here is what is involved.

Basic Info: You will be required to give basic information about your business like the name, web address and a brief statement about what your business is all about. Don’t worry because you will be able to go back and edit your information later.

You will be required to add a brand logo. It will tell you that you will only be able to upload a Gif or Jpeg but Png works well also so make sure you do this.

You will then be taken to a background editor where you can get as creative as you like. You can see a sample of my BMC Here. Take the time and really think this through because the whole concept behind BMC is to market your brand. I don’t know about you but what I do reflects on my business and I want to be sure everything is in good taste.

Next you will be adding your social media’s feed also any rss feed you may have from your blog. You will be given a list and a form to add your feed information. This is a very important step so don’t pass this by.

You will be taken to a screen that will allow you to add related websites and posts but make sure that they are connected in some form or another to your business or website and about your business or website.

Next you will be taken to a screen where you can add videos related to your business. If you don’t have any videos you may want consider making one or having one made for you. Remember that the whole point of this is to create your brand and represent your business.

There is also a section where you can get badges for your website or blog. I would suggest you do so. I am personally looking into a way to add a badge indo a signature somehow and using BMC as the hub that leads to everything my business is about.

Well that is the basics. You are now ready to move into building and shaping your branded business. Make sure you are ready to do just that. Put aside the time and get creative. After all, this is your business, your brand and you want to best represent and present yourself.

Look for some tutorials and videos that I am sure will follow but in the mean time if you have any questions I will be glad to answer them and if I don’t have the answers I will be sure to relay them to the APSense Developers.
