Book Flight Tickets with AirAsia India and Enjoy its In-flight Services
by Vivek Thakur EmployeeAirAsia India, founded in the year 2013,
has its headquarters at Bengaluru and its main hub at the Kempegowda
International Airport. A joint venture between AirAsia and Telestra Tradeplace
and Tata Sons, this low-cost carrier (LCC) began its operation in June 2014,
with its first flight between Bengaluru and Goa. Currently, it has 5 Airbus
A320-200 aircraft models in its fleet. The airline operates domestic flights to 10 destinations,
namely Pune, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Imphal, Guwahati, Chennai,
Vishakhapatnam, Goa and Kochi. To book
flight tickets to any of these destinations with this carrier, all
travellers need to do is to make their reservations with popular online travel
agencies to get the best deals.
Since its inception, the airline has been
trying its best to serve its passengers with excellent onboard services,
including delicious meals, great entertainment and comfortable seats.
Snacks
and Meals on AirAsia India Flight
The airline offers a number of food options
on the flight, ranging from vegetarian to non-vegetarian fare. On short flights
that have durations less than 75 minutes, passengers are served only snacks.
When it comes to meals, passengers have the choice to choose from Vegetable
Pasta with Roast Chicken, Vegetable Biryani, Bukhara Chicken Biryani, Ginger
Fried Rice with Vegetarian Chicke, Tomato Rice with Ayam Percik and Asian Fried
Rice with Chicken Satay, among others. However, the airline reserves the right
to change the menu, depending on the route of journey or time.
Duty-Free
Merchandise
On most flights of this carrier, passengers
get a chance to purchase a variety of things as part of the duty-free shopping
experience. From cosmetics, watches, perfumes to jewellery and skincare
products, passengers get to buy gifts and souvenirs from themselves and their
dear ones.
Seat
Selection
The airline offers its passengers the
chance to choose their seats, if available, before they board their respective
flights. Passengers can choose from standard or hot seats. Rows 1, 12 and 14
come under hot seats while the rest of the rows come under standard seats.
Seats in rows 1, 12 and 14 come with extra legroom. There are certain rules to
book emergency exit seats, including passengers should be more than 15 years
old and should be physically and mentally fit to help the crew in case of an
emergency. These seats are not meant for infants or pregnant ladies. Passengers
can make their selection of seat at the airport counter of the airline, at the
time of issuance of boarding pass.
Besides these three, the airline has plans
to induct new technology and services into its ground and in-flight services to
make the journey of their passengers comfortable and pleasurable. In addition
to services, the carrier has been known to come up with discount deals and
offers from time to time. It had recently announced a discount deal for the
ongoing festive season to cater to more people and create more revenue. Its
parent company has been a leader of the airline low-cost strategy for the past
7-8 years. So, it too will try to achieve the same success within India in the
coming years, but the current domestic competition would be a challenge for it.
