The time-band and viewership has always had a huge impact on the longevity of Hindi serials. There might be plenty of daily soaps on Indian Television, and while many of them have managed to become popular and gained a huge audience, there were others that struggled and failed to survive. Here is a list of some of the biggest flop serials on Indian Television!

Chhanchhan

Sanaya Irani is a popular name in the world of Indian Television and her serial Chhanhchhan gave the impression that this show was going to be a huge hit! However, even the countless promos and campaigns could not make this show a hit.The on-screen couple had no chemistry and than the lead actor was replaced. However, the show still didn't gained viewership and all of this led to its end, after just a few months of airing.

Do Dil Ek Jaan

Post the successful Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, everybody thought that Do Dil Ek Jaan will also be a huge hit. However, this wasn't the case with this love story which failed to deliver. The leads of the show Nikita Sharma and Ayaz Ahmed were replaced, but even the new cast didn't garner as much viewership as one expected, so the show was eventually pulled off the air.

Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2

After the success of the first season of Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, everyone had great expectations for its second season. The love story of Mohan and Megha did work in the first season, but failed to deliver in the second season of the show. Even though the leads Akanksha Singh and Kunal Karan Kapoor had amazing on-screen chemistry, the weak script didn't garner as much viewership as one expected and couldn't manage to climb the TRP charts, so the serial sadly fade away.

Junoon Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq

The initial buzz and the promotional activities, generated huge interest for the serial Junoon Aisi Nafrat Toh Kaisa Ishq. The popular formula of rural-meets-urban has been packaged refreshingly, while the lead couple Mouni Roy and Aditya Redij had mesmerizing on-screen chemistry, however the serial failed to capture audiences’ hearts.

Anamika

The story of the pretty witch Anamika who falls for a human, didn't manage to capture the attention of the audiences and after a short span of decent ratings, the show’s popularity dwindled. The replacement of the female lead also did not go down well with the viewers, so the show eventually went off-air.

Amita Ka Amit

The concept of an arranged marriage between two conventionally not-so-good looking people did not work well for the audiences. The story which seemed interesting at the beginning, failed to leave an impact and the show was pulled of the air after a few months.
