Born in Karnataka and based in Mumbai, he is best known for his evocative portraits and landscapes, and his smooth, fluid style.

His conceptual paintings (or representational paintings) are characterized by deep introspection. The pieces are highly subjective and are influenced by mythology and spirituality. His versatility is evident in his ability to work in several different mediums.
