Best Job Opportunities for Embedded Engineers

by Himesh Singh Digital Marketing Trainer
Embedded systems engineering is one such field that sees constant changes and adoption of modern mechanisms. With the development of technology, embedded systems must also grow and adapt to the newer practices. This includes being more responsive, strong, quick, small and efficient.
This should not be seen as a hindrance, but an opportunity of growth and development. Engineering professionals in this field should expect changes. One must upskill onself regularly based on new developments, and to better equip oneself for the future. This will promote futuristic thinking, growth and innovation not only in the industry, but for the candidates personal success as well.

One such opportunity of growth is in ARM. ARM microcontroller is a type of processor used in nearly all kinds of smartphones today. Their popularity is increasing due to its low power consumption abilities, low cost, myriad of features that it comes with, and smaller footprint. Currently, 64-bit processors is the trending topic, with the ARM system-on-a-chip technology that has multiple cores. ARM with a core future is now considered the ultimate market leader for smartphones and 32- and 64-bit processors.
The scope of ARM applications is huge, and can be applied in many industries. This creates more job opportunities for engineers from many fields, especially for embedded engineers in the software and hardware related industries. However, to get a job in these sectors, one must equip themselves with embedded systems and ARM microcontroller training,

Future Scope

Over the past years, post the development of the first ARM, its developers have been focused on creating processors which provide more power, keeping the price range the same. So, while the processors have remained in the low power consumption category, its performance has only increased.
ARM architecture is guaranteed to see more developments. ARM has also promised an improved 7nm lithography processor along with hopes of investments from huge companies for developing ARM-based gadgets. This creates a huge market for newer and more capable innovations in the industry. Sectors such as aviation, automotive, electronics and healthcare are sure to grow.

To deal with this growth, there will definitely be a need for more engineers with appropriate skills and degrees.

Companies like Google, NVIDIA, Apple, Dolby, Ford Motor Company, Intel, Amazon, Samsung, etc. are market leaders in their industries. These companies are developing more robust ARM micro controllers, creating more jobs for engineers.
Candidates with degrees in Embedded Engineering,  Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, etc should be eligible to apply for such position. However, it is also suggested that candidates get the required certifications and specialization in ARM or AVM training to be a better option for these positions.
