In vitro fertilization (IVF) or test-tube baby is a process in which eggs are taken out from woman's ovaries, fertilized with sperms and allowed to develop for a few days in a fluid medium in the laboratory; the resulting embryos are then transferred back in to the uterus to establish a pregnancy.
