Best Essential Oils for Busy & Stressful Days at Work

by Ria DC Lifelong Learner

As it has often been said, “busy” is this generation’s “okay”. Ask several people how they’re doing, and at least a few of them will surely say that they’re busy, tired, or stressed out.

Fortunately, there are simple things you can do to keep you from the unhealthy results of repetitive stress, namely, fatigue, burnout, and unusual irritability. The simple and quick formula? Essential oils!

In this article, I will share with you three of my top favorite essential oils for busy days. Essential oils may be used in various ways, so you can almost always find a use for them regardless of the kind of location you work in.

Rosemary Essential Oil

If you drive to your workplace, rosemary essential oil can help you gear up for the day while you’re still on your way to the office. Its scent is not too strong nor too mild, which is one reason why it makes a good car-aromatherapy oil.

Some known benefits of rosemary oil are for relieving anxiety and helping with alertness.

Grapefruit Essential Oil

Grapefruit is a wonder fruit. It has plenty of health benefits for the mind and body, and its oil has often been used for boosting one’s mood and increasing energy levels.

Personally, I like diffusing grapefruit essential oil inside my office. It’s aromatic and therapeutic--and it doesn’t give you a sleepy head!

Citronella Essential Oil

Aside from its insect-repelling properties, citronella oil also has plenty of health benefits. To name a few, these include helping with anxiety and a sense of restlessness, relieving muscular pain, and killing germs. Plus, because of its citrusy scent, it can also help with giving you a sense of freshness and alertness.

I usually use citronella when I work from home. I find its scent refreshing, and I love how it disinfects my home as I work.
