The Magic Cottage uses the innovative and exciting High Scope Curriculum, which is based on Piaget's developmental learning theories and stresses individualized education. No two children are the same. Discipline

Magic Cottage provides a safe environment. Discipline is handled constructively, stressing the consequences of children's own actions and showing children choices.

We believe children should learn values and strategies that enable them to problem solve in difficult situations. We DO NOT use time out chairs or single out any child. Rather, we believe positive reinforcement is the best approach.

We reward responsibility and communication, and to show children how the benefits of approaching a problem in a positive way. We tell the children, "using our words is always better."
