Cairo is the capital of Egypt; it’s one of the most important cities in Egypt and the biggest town in Africa and the most populated in both Africa & Middle East. As I have mentioned, Cairo has got the name of “The 1000 Minarets City” due to many famous mosques built on its land such as Al-Azhar Mosque built in 972 A.D, Ahmed Bin Taulun Mosque 256 H – 879 AD, Al- Hakim Bi Amr Allah Mosque380 H – 1013 AD, Muhamed Ali Mosque in Saladin Citadel1848 AD – 1265 H, Sultan Hassan Mosque 1363 AD. All these mosques are very close to Khan Al-Khalili (The oldest antiquities markets in the Middle East). In addition to previously mentioned touristic Islamic sites there are also many other Coptic and Pharaonic monuments and sites are mentioned below. Worthy to mention that the Nile River,Cairo TowerSaladin Citadel and Egyptian Museum are the most likely visited sites in Cairo. Because of being the capital of Egypt, Cairo has got many other characteristics like all ministries, governmental institutions and embassies.

Mykerinus

The third pyramid dedicated to king Mykerinus the son of Chephren the son of Cheops, each side length is 108.5 m2 and its height is 62 m2. King Mykerinus called his pyramid as “The Holy pyramid”.
