Benefits of Playgroup

by Aparna Nigam education blogger

Why go to Playgroup?

Many times Parents asked us that why Playgroup is essential for child. Parents defend that a child should play till 5 years, instead of studying. We agree their view, but in today’s scenario, there is no physical activity for kids except playing at their home. In earlier time when joint families were there then child play and learn from their family, siblings, cousins but as now the time has changed, there are more nuclear families rather than any closed interactive person to the child. Parents are working and child only gets virtual things to live and play.
Children under five are going through a stage of rapid brain and skill development. For optimum development, young children need a stimulating environment to play and learn. Playgroups offer babies, toddlers and young children a wide variety of early learning experiences.
Playgroup is a great way for your child(ren) to learn about the world, make friends and develop social skills. Playgroup also gives mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers a chance to share ideas and experiences. Many long-term friendships begin at Playgroup.
Playgroup develops physical skills, teaches problem solving, communication and social interaction and, of course, it’s great fun!
In some cases, we see that some child start late to learn, speak, walk etc. Mostly these cases are found in the family where the child is the only kid of the Parents. In the studies it is found that child’s performance & growth improve rapidly when he grow among many children.
Playgroup provides the same atmosphere to the children which enables them to grow and perform at faster rate physically & mentally both.
Being among the best schools in Allahabad, Phoenix International School understand its responsibility and try to provide the same facilities, with individual attention for the child’s growth.
