BEML to Recruit Management Trainees through GATE 2017

Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML Limited), which is a Govt. of India Undertaking company, is in search for young, promising & energetic Engineers as Management Trainees through GATE-2017 in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Metallurgy. As many PSU companies are recruiting on the basis of GATE scores, BEML too is hiring through GATE 2017 scores. The Management Trainees will be recruited by BEML for its various manufacturing/ marketing divisions on the basis of their valid GATE 2017 scores. Earlier the last date for filling the online application form (http://meta-secure.com/BEML/ApplicationForm.aspx) was up to 31^st January 2017, but now the last date has been extended up to 27^th February 2017 (till 5.45 pm).

To apply for the same, the eligible candidates need to first download the SBI Challan,  pay the application fees of Rs. 500 (No fees for SC/ST/PwD candidates), and then fill the online application form.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational - Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics/Metallurgy with 70% marks for General and OBC candidates and 65% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates from recognized university.

Age limit - 27 years as on January 31, 2017

Note: The above mentioned upper age limit is for General category. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as per the Govt. of India guidelines. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will also be as per the guidelines of government.

Application procedure:

·         Eligible candidates must first download the SBI Challan to pay the application fees. They must pay the amount at the nearest SBI branch in the BEML account number 31006750220.

·         Candidates must then fill their personal details including their GATE 2017 Registration No in the online application form. They must upload their GATE 2017 Admit card in JPG or JPEG format.

·         They must enter their academic details as specified along with any work experience.

·         They must also enter the details of the payment made - Branch Name, Branch Code and Journal No as mentioned in the SBI challan after payment.

·         Candidates are also required to upload their recent passport size photograph with a minimum size of 145 x 180 pixels (approximately 3.8 cm x 4.8 cm) and a maximum of 180 x 220 pixels (approximately 4.8 cm x 5.8 cm). The file size must be less than 200 KB. The image should be of .jpg or .jpeg format.

·         After submission, candidates must take a printout of the online application and affix a recent passport size photograph in the given space.

·         They must also put their signature in the given space.

·         All candidates will be required to send a copy of the application form, duly signed with a photo affixed along with duly attested copies of the relevant certificates in proof of their qualifications and experience if any.

·         They can send the same in a sealed envelope mentioning the post applied for on the top left corner of the envelope and send it to:

Important: The last date for the receipt of the hard copy of the application form along with the requisite testimonials is February 27, 2017.

Selection process:

1.       The selection process includes weightage for marks obtained in the qualifying exam, marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2017 and personal interview.

2.       Those candidates who have qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE 2017 will only be eligible for the next stage of selection.

3.       Qualified candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for personal interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2017 in the corresponding paper.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 16400 - Rs. 40500

Service Bond:

All the selected candidates will have to execute a Service Bond for Rs. 2,00,000 (Rupees two lakhs) to serve the Company for a period of 4 years including training period. 

Training Period:

 Selected candidates will have to undergo training for a period of one year from the date of their joining. On successful completion of their training and on assessment of suitability, they will be absorbed as Engineer (Grade-II) in the same pay scale with one additional increment (@3% of basic pay) and will be on probation for a period of one year.
