Baseball Updates and Opinions from Around the Web

by Kim Morrie Professional Sports Bettor

I usually get my updates for baseball online betting  from the MLB site and the news section of the betting website itself but it’s also nice to take a read of the opinions from news sources with people that are more closely tied with certain baseball teams.

While online betting baseball will provide you with all the stats, previews and recaps for the sport, having a different perspective about a team or a player can also be quite helpful. You can find information that numbers don’t reveal.

This past week, I went over some great read that I would suggest to any fan of the sport to read. You’ll find something informative that are shared in different ways. There’s a serious discussion about a certain topic and there are also those write-ups that are filled with humor. Overall, I can assure you that it’s going to be entertaining, which is what sports are really all about. So here it goes.

Baseball Nation on the ceremonial first pitch

Okay, this one won’t provide you with any information to help you with online betting baseball, but it will help you stop for a moment and remember why you love the sport.

Time and time again, you’ll see famous personalities on the mound throwing the ceremonial first pitch. There are weird, embarrassing and impressive moments. Each one of these has its own so-called magic.

Bourjos’ return on hold

If you’re holding your breath for the return of Peter Bourjos’ to the Los Angeles Angels lineup, here’s some not so good news for you. According to the report, results of x-rays taken earlier this week showed that the broken bones in the pitcher’s right wrist are not yet fully healed.

As such, his returned has been pushed back until August. This is an unfortunate development not only for the team and the fans but for the hitter himself who has played impressively when healthy.

Jeter on disabled list

After suffering from a strained quadriceps, the New York Yankees have decided to place shortstop Derek Jeter on the disabled list for 15 days. In line with the decision, the team will be brining in Brent Lillibridge from the triple-A to fill the vacated spot on the roster.
