Awareness-raising campaign on climate change

he climate is changing. No other challenge imposes a greater threat to future generations than climatic changes. Therefore, it is vital to spread awareness among future generations on climatic crises and threats. Human activities have constantly contributed towards global climatic crises and massive disruptions. The best way to control the crisis is by spreading awareness among children, the future generations. School champ climatic awareness programs are designed with the motive to educate and encourage children to take active participation in climatic protection. An ongoing climatic ‘School Champs For Climate Action’ campaign, organized by FairGaze is an eye-opener.

‘School Champs For Climate Action; a campaign organized by FairGaze, is an awareness program about global climatic conditions. It is a pan-India online campaign where students from classes 6-12 are participating. It is a completely free-of-cost campaign to encourage maximum participation and awareness.

The participants are encouraged to come up with possible sustainable development goals to safeguard the environment from the global climate crisis. Since the students are the younger generation, making them a part of the global climatic concern makes them responsible towards the environment. The campaign is going on till 31st Dec 2021, with some of the most prestigious schools participating in it. To encourage the students to participate and contribute towards climate awareness, there are prizes and certificates.

The objective or goal towards organizing awareness-raising campaigns on climate change is to educate and spread awareness among the younger generations. The focus behind such awareness programs is to establish awareness among students that individual and actions from various communities can lead to severe global consequences. With innovative minds, students can come up with various approaches and sustainable methods that can safeguard the climatic conditions. The awareness from students will spread to their families, friends, and communities. To bring sustainable development against vulnerable climatic conditions, students are the best way to spread awareness. Students are the future of society and they need to participate and contribute to a sustainable approach and methods to save the global climate.
