Attractions of Lahore ‘The Heart of Pakistan’

Lahore is one of the most popular cities of Pakistan and a capital City of Punjab, also known as ‘The Heart of Pakistan’. The City that never sleeps has great historical and cultural importance, basically people of Punjab speaks Urdu but the mother tongue of Lahore is Punjabi. Lahore has a great importance in the history of Pakistan as the Pakistan resolution was passed in 23rd March 1940 at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore. Minar-e-Pakistan also known as ‘Tower of Pakistan’ was built in 1960s in order to represent the ideology of Pakistan. Minar-e-Pakistan is well known for its highly creative architecture which is a blend of Mughal, Islamic and modern architecture.

Near its surroundings, the most popular historical Fort was standing with great pride, reflecting the great architecture of Mughal Era, the famous Muslim Rulers in the sub-continent. Lahore Fort, also known as Shahi Qila is one of the major attractions of Lahore; its architectural and historical importance is greatly admired by the tourists. Along with Lahore Fort there is a famous Badshahi Mosque built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1967 and considered as the 5th largest mosque in the world. Lahore is known for preserving rich Mughal and Islamic history.
