Attach Linux operating system with HP Printer

a. Go through the HP Linux Imaging and Printing site and then download the HPLIP 3.11.10 run file to your desktop.

b. Search for the Terminal, Console or Console and then click on System Menu icon. Now launch the terminal window on your computer.

c. To navigate to the desktop in the terminal window type '~$ cd Desktop'.

d. For launching automatic installer program type '“~/Desktop$ sh hplip-3.11.10 run'. For selecting the automatic install mode enter 'a'.

e. For confirming Linux distribution tap Enter key. Then enter or type superuser/ root password for your computer system.

f. In the Installation Notes you will find onscreen instructions, read and follow them. Depending upon the Linux version you are using, it might differ. For continuing press Enter key.

g. Install additional requirements for the software after letting the installer to diagnose and finish the installation process.

h. For launching setup program connect your printer to USB port on computer system.

i. Now choose the Universal Serial Bus (USB) option and then click Next.

j. Click Next after selecting  printer from the list of available or detected printers.

k. For completing the configuration process and connecting OS to the printer click Add Printer button.
