by Ethan Hunt Internet Marketer

If you’re a trained physical therapist West Bloomfield, your work will consist in helping patients find pain relief, have better mobility, and try to prevent them from suffering from any permanent bodily damage leading to disability.

Kinds of patients: Your patients may include people who suffer from pain in the neck, back, shoulder or have had head injuries, heart disease or arthritis.

Roles and responsibilities: You must ask to see your patient’s medical histories before you can begin to treat them as you can decide on the range of motion they can do, or he extent of their strength, balance, etc. Your goal is always to get the patient up and about in as little time as possible. So, it’s important for you to develop a course of action based on the patient’s condition.

You will also have to exercise your patients in their body parts where pain exists. Through regular exercise, you should be able to increase flexibility in his muscles and get him back on his feet. To achieve success, you will often have to use hot packs, cold compresses, ultrasound machines to relieve pain and make your patients feel better. You may also have to do massages with your bare hands to relieve pain and to improve circulation in the affected body part. Depending on the condition of patients, you might also have to teach them to use wheelchairs or crutches.

However, training is only one aspect of what makes up a good physical therapist. A professional therapist also needs to have certain outstanding qualities that will endear him to his patients, such as:
