Image Cleaning your computer is a task that many people ignore. And we are talking about not just cleaning the peripherals and making sure there is no dust on them, but also about cleaning the virtual places of your computer. If you think that your computer is slow and that it is taking too long to load a certain program, chances are some virtual rubbish removal will greatly improve its performance.

So where should you start your cleaning from? There are a lot of virtual areas where you should focus your attention and put the ‘delete’ key into good use. Let’ see some of them:

-          Email inbox - if you use your email excessively, you have to make sure that you implement some sort of organization for all of the information. Otherwise you will end up using your inbox as an address book, and that is not good. Take few minutes of each day to go through all of the received mail and decide whether or not you need it for future reference. Perhaps some of the mails contain files, which you have already downloaded; maybe some of the letters were mistakenly sent to you; or it could be the information in some of the letters is already outdated and you don’t need them. Check your junk mail options - the last thing you want is having to browse through junk that you do not need; rubbish removal is quite necessary in such case.

-          Desktop - you may have the habit of storing documents and stuff on your desktop often, as it is the virtual place that is most easily accessed. Usually you think of it first when you have to download a document, or when you want a location for a folder that you are using. But just because the desktop is available for storing of your stuff doesn’t mean that you should clutter it. A clean desktop is much more pleasing and allows you to work faster as you can easily navigate through a smaller number of icons rather than having to deal with tens of them. Keep only your important shortcuts around and avoid unnecessary clutter.

-          Software, applications and programs - it is true that you may need a good number of those, but you have to keep track of them and dispose of the ones you are not using. With constant updates and new versions, maybe you have left a good number of software programs that you are no longer using on your computer. Do consider doing some rubbish removal, since all that useless software does is take up space on your hard drive. Your computer will be far better off without it.

-          Browser tabs, cookies and internet bookmarks - you should be regular at cleaning those, especially if you are regular at browsing internet content. Since browsers tend to save some information and files on your computer in order to save you some downloading and make the webpage load faster, you wouldn’t normally have to consider cleaning the cache. But in some cases you will need to bypass it, if you start encountering page errors. In that case you will do good to clean your entire internet cache.

Keeping your virtual space clean is truly important. Take your time and truly try to reduce the clutter in your virtual spaces, since this will ensure easier work with your computer.
