Apply Online Bihar Student Credit Card - Scheme, Documents, Eligibility, Age Limit

Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme was introduced by the Bihar State Government on October 2, 2016 to help those poor students who are not able to pay the college fee.  Bihar is the only state who offers loan in the form of Student Credit Card with a fixed limit of 4 lakh. Bihar Student Credit Card can be avail by any student of Bihar who passed 12th board exam. 

Who can apply for Student Credit Card

1. A proper resident of Bihar state 

2. Applicant should have completed the age of 18 years and not more than 24 Years. 

3. They must pass 12th board exams from valid board (CBSE, BSEB, ICSE)

4. They must have applied in any college or University in India. 

Advantages of Bihar Student Credit Card

Bihar Student Credit Card Status is impressive in Bihar. Many students have got benefit by this card. Also the process of Bihar student credit card is quite simple to apply.  Here are the benefits of Bihar student Credit Card 

1. Fixed limit-  Through this card students can get loan up to 4 lakh.

2.  Low-interest Rates- For Girls, Divyang, and Transgender students the interest rates are only 1%. And For boy students, the interest rates are low.

3. No guarantee will be asked by the bank- Banks will never ask you to show any income prove to approve your credit card.

4. Pay when you Get a job - Students will be asked to pay the loan only after they get a job after course completion. It is the key benefit of Bihar student Credit Card 

5. The government will pay your loan- In case, a student is not able to pay the loan or he/she did not get a job then banks and government will share the lose.   

Not for abroad Studies

This is clearly mentioned in the rule and criteria of Bihar student credit card Scheme that this card can be used by only for study in Indian Colleges. Students can get admission engineering, Medical, finance, law, and etc courses. This card cannot be used by the student for Abroad studies.
