Antero Resources vented more than 60,000 MTCO2e of methane in 2020 during liquid unloading of its wells. The company should install 298 plunger lift systems at its onshore production sites at a total capital cost of approximately $6 million and can effectively manage to collect and sale 154 BCF of Natural gas, and can recover entire capital cost to install plunger lifts in just a span of two months.
