Google is worldwide popular for its intensity of advancements, every year the brand amazes the app developers with an advanced version of previous technology that is noteworthy, more reliable, efficient and fast. Continuing its legacy of names Google introduced Android Pie and Android Oreo as its operating system, also popular as Android 9 and Android 8 respectively.  In order to track the advancement Google brings in every year, let’s debate over Android Oreo vs Pie

User Interface

Owns a traditional display with old-school icons and no shortcut settings menu.

Has a much-enhanced presentation as it displays a smooth-edged interface with colorful icons and quick dropdown settings menu.

Does not provide a dashboard

The pie comes with a fully-featured dashboard displaying the amount of time the user is spending on each application. This feature comes in the form of a pie chart.

Controlling the time spent on every app

Android 8 had no such facility for the users

Android 9 gives us the facility to decide the time we want to spend on each application. The feature lets us know via a notification once we exceed the pre-set time on that particular application.

Dark Mode/Sleep Mode

The oreo version undoubtedly had the night mode that pulls out the blue light leaving orange and red pallets to comfort your eyes.

Android 9 is a step ahead as it gives users the facility of sleep time when the entire screen goes grayscale and has an additional do not disturb mode.

In the Oreo version, the brightness of the phone adjusts in correspondence to the light around the user.

Pie adjusts the brightness as per the user’s habits and preferences.
